On losing the semifinal 3-0:
"Today they were a better pair. We have played a few times already and it was always similar. So far in Europe they are the toughest opponents for us. Despite this we really went down with a fight, but from the first point they were really pressuring us a lot.
"We started to find the rhythm a little bit in the third set so it was a pity we couldn't win one more set and make it more open. But it was well-deserved for them."

On claiming bronze:
"We are very satisfied with this competition. It was a tough road and if someone would have told us before the tournament that we would get a medal I would not have believed it so much. Right now of course I am a little bit sad that we can't play the final like last year, but I am really happy with our performance in this tournament."
On what made the French pair win:
"We had a really good start. That was the key of the match. When you get an advantage of two sets you can relax a little bit more – but not too much.
"We knew that against this type of pairs it was really important to have a good start and that was the key to secure the win today."

On which pair he would prefer to play in the final:
"We played (Robert) Gardos (AUT) and (Sofia) Polcanova (AUT) one time when they had just started but we could see here that they could play an amazing game. They beat the European champions Qiu Dang (GER) and (Nina) Mittelham (GER). But any of the two pairs will be strong for us."
