Unit Reports

On beating Daniel Habesohn (AUT) 4-3 in a one-hour match on Friday morning:
"I feel awake and exhausted now. Daniel is a very strong opponent. He has been playing quite well here at the European championships, he got the silver medal yesterday in the doubles. I know he had a lot of confidence and he was playing really good against me. It was also the first international event where we play each other and I am happy that I could win this match."

On Habesohn coming back from a 3-1 deficit to 3-3:
"I just had to tell myself that ’he’s now back in the game, now I have to put some more effort into my game to win the matches. Luckily it went well."

On what let Habesohn back into the match:
"It can be (that he relaxed) a little bit. But I know that he is a strong opponent and he could always come back into the game. Now I’m happy that I’m in the next round where I face my teammate (doubles partner Dang Qiu, GER). It will be a good match and who is best will win."
