On winning bronze
"It was super close. I was right out in the outside lane so I couldn't even see what was going on, but I just wanted to try and get a decent kayak race in.

"At worlds (world championships) I had an issue with my boat, so I had to stop in both my heat and my final. Obviously in 200m if you stop, that's it, game over.

"It's a hard race, end of the season, bit of Covid after the worlds, stuff like that, so I didn't have much in the tank. Just happy to put down a decent race - not amazing, but a decent run and it's great to be back on the podium as well."
On winning silver after bronze at the world championships
"I was already happy about the world championships last week, and I was a bit worried at the beginning of this week because my feelings weren't good, but I raced good today. The others are really strong paddlers so I'm pretty happy to be with Laura (Sugar, GBR) and Hope (Gordon, GBR) on the podium."

On winning gold in a European best time
"I didn't know what the conditions are like or how fast this lake is, so to win and get a European best is the icing on the cake.

"We know the top four were the top four in the world last week (at world championships), so we knew it was going to be a real battle out there. We love racing each other and just had to go out there and give it everything. And it was enough to come away with a win."
