On qualifying directly for the final
Jule Hake (GER)

On a close finish with Belgium:
"We thought about just keep pushing, keep pushing through the race. We were a little bit surprised but in the end we did a very good finish.

"I don't know how the race ended. We were the same time. We just keep hoping that we made it to the final."

On qualifying directly for the final:
"It is important for us, but going to the semifinal's also good, because then we can train the distance again and do it better. Direct qualification would mean that we can save some strength for the other races."

On racing in Germany:
"The crowd yelling and cheering us up just gives us extra power in the end. It's like a little adventure for us."

Paulina Paszek (GER)

On racing in Germany:
"It's really good, it's something different. The people are here from Germany and that gives more power."
