On winning silver
"The first day I was really disappointed with my silver in the 500m, then we won gold in the C2. Today with a hard wind, with the left wind blowing - it is not my type of weather - I won silver and this silver in an Olympic distance means more to me than gold.

"I'm really emotional right now, it's a perfect day for me."
On winning gold
"I can't believe it. I had an injury this year, and this is why I didn't go to the world championships.

"To come home as European champion is something that I still need time to grasp."
On winning bronze to add to bronze in C1 500m
"This is amazing. Before two weeks I was in Halifax at the world championships, I was there in two A-finals. I was sixth in 500 and eighth on 200.

"I said to my coach I want here a medal, because before two or three months at the under-23 Europeans I was second and third, and I wanted there a gold medal. So I say to myself I must win one medal here. But two medals, this is amazing.

"This is the hard work of the last seven, eight years of me and my coach and the federation and everybody who helped us.

"This is a big surprise for me, in 200 I wanted to be in the top five. To take a medal in the Olympic distance is an amazing feeling."
