On winning gold, their second medal after silver in the C2 500m:
"We are so happy we've done this.

"Next year we want to do this gold medal for the Olympic race, the 500m."
On winning bronze in front of a home crowd
"It's just amazing to have a medal right now because we had so many fourth places in the last times. We are just happy that we could show that we can paddle 200m.

"I guess it was just a very nice race for us."

On fast racing in front of a home crowd:
"It's a big bonus for us. I like the water, it's a very hot water, and it's good for strong athletes that they can do fast races.

"It's also a little bit of vacation because of the water, and the feeling of a little bit of vacation can do a lot for the time."
On winning silver
"We need to try to be one person when we paddle together. It's more difficult. We only train here in Munich (for this race). We only go on the water three times - today is the third time.

"The competition is hard and we had a plan to go very well. We are very happy, we know that when we train more we can have more results and better results.

"We are very relaxed, because we can go faster."
