On winning gold
"The weather is perfect for this race.

"Italy (Esteban Farias) come back to the competition and he's in really good shape, so it was hard but I pushed the last 50 metres and got gold."

On his tactics:
"I prefer the fast start, but none are perfect because the starting machine is a little bit flippy, so I needed the last 50 metres to push more."
On winning silver
"It was hard. After I took a year off it was hard to restart. This result is very good for a starting point."

On the atmosphere at the European championships:
"The atmosphere here is amazing. This course is something special, nothing like it in the world."
On winning bronze
"I'm mostly happy with my race. The race went fairly well for the first 150 metres, and after in the sprint I think I need to work a bit harder in order to really finish off the race."

On looking ahead to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games:
"My main aim is Paris. It'll be at home, and I really want to get on the podium in Paris to make my family happy and all the people who have helped me get here."
