On winning men's boulder silver |
---|
On winning silver: “I’m very happy, but I can’t process it right now. I did my best and that was all I could do. “I'm really, super-happy. I'm not sure what to say. I didn't think I'd get to the final at the start of the semis. I fought like a lion.” |

On winning men's boulder bronze |
On winning bronze: “It feels great. I didn't have any particular goals for boulder, I was really happy with proceeding to the final. In the final I could enjoy my time and know that it's a bronze medal.” On failing to complete the last boulder: “Let's say I wasn't born to do it. I was pretty happy how relatively close I got but nevertheless, I was still quite far away.” |

On winning men's boulder gold |
On winning gold: “It’s been a crazy year. It started really badly with my shoulder injury, which turned out to be better than we thought at the beginning, so I was able to compete in the World Cups. “This was the highlight of this year, and it was my big goal to be in my best shape here. Then COVID came which was obviously not ideal, but I guess my body somehow made it work.” On his performance: “That's one of the coolest competitions I've ever competed in and especially with such a big and awesome crowd, you just want to deliver a show. That's what I tried to do because after the first boulder I felt I couldn't really climb anymore. So, I was thinking okay let's enjoy this and at least put on a good show. Try to give all I have and it turned out to be pretty good.” |
