On winning their repechage

Celia Dupre (SUI)

On the repechage:
"Yesterday it had been a while since we'd done a race - the last race was in Poznan at World Cup II - and we were missing that pre-race rage. Yesterday's heat was a bit of a wake-up call and today it was the art of that rage that came through."

On their aims for the repechage:
"To give ourselves some confidence too, knowing that we can dominate, knowing that we can move through boats."

On having rowed together from junior to senior level:
"We've become very close. We always know the others in the boat. It just creates something extra that we can share."

On the progression of Swiss women's rowing:
"It's really cool that we finally have a women's project that has a lot of women that want to get into this boat. We're seven girls for a quad. There's a lot of competition which is really cool to see, because often it was a scramble for a Swiss boat, especially at the elite level.

"It's really cool to get that confidence boost, to know that we are in the up and coming crews. We're still really really young as a team, a lot to improve."

On their aims for the repechage:
"Definitely to win it. We know we are a good team, a great team, and we are here to win a medal. We went out to win."

On having rowed together from junior to senior level:
"We know each other quite well, and it helps, especially in a quad. We have a good relationship in a quad and can go out as one team. It makes us strong."
