On their bronze medal strategy:

"The strategy, I guess, was just to go fast in the start, go fast in the middle and go fast in the end. That's all you can do."

On the race:
“It was really tough, because there’s some headwind conditions. It all went to plan as best as it could. Every race is different - we wanted to go fast, and we went as fast as we could."

On their preparation:
"We've had a very difficult month, we've had a lot of problems with injuries, so maybe if we'd spent a bit more time in the boat we could have done something more. But this is perfect.

"We both had tendonitis with the arms. We've got a lot of tape on us. We're basically a pair, in the double."

On the upcoming world championships:
"We've had a really good season so far, it's a really good indication. We're very lucky that in Europe now we have the Olympic champions (Romania) which are racing every race, and also Holland which is a very strong crew. We're lucky we can test ourselves realistically every time we race."

On the race which led them to silver:

"Actually the strategy was just to cling onto the Romanians. We know that these girls are very good. So we just went to stick to them."

"We as competitors really lift each other to better results. In a team you're never alone, you always help each other to better results, too."

On a dominant win

"We didn't see it like that on the water. It was a great race - a difficult one because of the wind, but we give it our best.

"We are happy with this result and we want to improve much more from this moment because the Olympics are very close, and we need to be in our best then."
