On winning gold |
---|
"We like this result. We appreciate all the support of the team, and we'll hopefully continue training." |
|
On winning silver |
Perle Bouge (FRA) On winning silver: "It's great. We were second in Poznan (at World Cup II), but we were missing the Ukranians. We placed behind Poland, and we've overtaken them now as we hoped." On reforming her partnership with Stephane Tardieu (FRA): "The boat, even if you think we've rowed a long time together, it's like a new boat. We spent six years together and we're picking it back up. There's been work to do since we started the international season in May. We feel more and more progression. "It's true the Ukranians are only rowing right now, and we know they're really strong. At the same time we know we've got more to bring. We knew it was going to be a fight, there are three great boats there - finalists from the Paralympic Games." Stephane Tardieu (FRA) On the race: "We did a good race. We were first at about 1,000 metres. They (Ukraine) pushed on and I realised we didn't have the capacity to respond. It was a good race, a good reference for us. "The Poles have already beaten us twice - now we've beaten them, and beaten them well. It's a good progression." On the possibility of racing at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: "I want to be there. I've done everything so far to be there - I made the boat again, I've recovered Perle. It's not bad, we're up there, so it's begun well. "I know it'll be my last chance, but I'm making the most of it. It's just happiness, we have a medal again and it's fantastic." |
