On her race

"It was awful, it's such a headwind.

"You give everything you have and then you look down at the speedcoach and you're like 'am I moving?' Then I was just thinking everyone was in the same horror as me - just keep going."

On defending her title:
"We work so hard every single day to perform better and it's what I live and love and breathe for.

"I've also worked so hard to always try to the make the best performance itself, just going out there and doing what I'm supposed to do, what the plan is to do. I feel that I did what we were planning to do."

On the European Championships Munich 2022:
"I really feel like I'm a part of something bigger here.

"It’s quite amazing to be in this arena 50 years after the (1972 Olympic) Games. There’s so much history here and being able to race here myself is a really big thing for me."

On her race and taking silver:

"The strategy worked. We went full throttle from the middle."
