On their performance in the final:
“I think we gave it our best. This is a good starting point to work towards the world championships (in Paris in October).

On the value of their silver medal:

“You can see that the German girls are the fastest and us coming out second is representative, although you never know how these times compare on a normal (250m) track.

On the women’s team sprint having switched from two riders to three riders per team after the Tokyo Olympic Games:

“The girls who did not go to Tokyo (her team mates Kyra Lamberink and Hetty van der Wouw) were already working on it and I was able to just step on a train that was already on the move. It’s still a process to work out what our best starting order is. We’ve got a lot of depth in our team.”
On what the European championships in Munich mean to her:
“It’s great, I’m thrilled by the atmosphere. The people cheer us on, the four girls already (the German Team Pursuit women, who also won gold just ahead of the team sprint). It carries you through the hall a bit. It’s so great when everybody stands up and cheers."

On the 200m track instead of the usual 250m track:

“It’s a bit difficult, because we ride all the major championships like the Olympics and the World Championships not on such a track. You have less time to accelerate and in the team sprint it’s 150 meters shorter. You have to adapt. Riding second I have to accelerate more, because Pauline’s lap is already over. I do prefer to ride on a longer track.”

On her chances in the women’s 500m time trial on Saturday:

“I don’t like to make predictions. We don’t know exactly who is going to ride tomorrow. But (I’ll ride the individual) sprint anyway.”
