On winning silver
"Obviously you go into a race hoping for a result but, yeah, I just tried to put myself in the right position and it paid off."

On her return to the sport:
"I had a bit of a rough two years. I took five months off last year because of numerous things and I nearly quit the sport.

"I'm really happy I took that break and just reset and when I've come back I tried just to enjoy the process and not put too much pressure on myself. I've been working hard to get back to this level - hopefully I can build momentum from here."
On winning gold
"It's just unbelievable. It's just crazy, a dream I had for so many years, and finally I made it.

"It's hard to believe it, but it's true, and I can't imagine that I will wear the stars (the European champion jersey). It's just a big big dream."

On the race:
"It was hard. They started in a really high speed, and they kept that speed the whole time. And then suddenly people started to think about the sprint, and then people were a bit unsure but still racing really fast. Someone tried to go in a breakaway.

"It was seven laps I was far behind, and I was just like I had to keep cool because they are riding so so fast, so I will make it to the front. And then suddenly I had the chance to just kick it off and show what I can."
