On performing at home in the rainbow jersey:
“That’s pressure. It’s great to race in the rainbow jersey, but then again, everybody is watching your back at the same time.”

On her mental state:

“In the beginning I really didn’t feel (superior). My muscles felt tight. I have worried a bit too much again and mentally I was not so strong as I’m used to.

“But then everything fell into place. From heat to heat it kept improving. I got the good tension in the legs again, and I could win in the end. That’s super.”

On her thoughts after the race:

“I was relieved. I was simply thankful to all the people who helped me and believed in me.

“I didn’t ride bad in the sprint yesterday, but it was simply not what I had hoped for. I wanted a medal in sprint and I didn’t make it (Friedrich finished 4th). I was disappointed of course, and I’m really relieved to have been able to fight back today.”

On tactics:

“If you get a bad start spot (behind the derny) in the back, you have to try and turn it around. I went to the front straightaway, when the race had not really opened up yet, so I could save some energy. My big rival Mathilde Gros already saw that I wanted to go to the front and countered me. Then I followed in her draft and I could pass her in the end because coming from the back simply costs less energy.”
On her race:
“To be honest, I gave it my all, even more than all, because literally I wanted to die after the finish.”

On winning Keirin bronze after she already took silver in the 500m Time Trial earlier:

““I’m really happy, I have two medals. This is a great track, great atmosphere here, great event for me. Now I can have some rest and I’m really happy right now.“

On competing while there’s a war going on back home in Ukraine:

“Every time I hear the bombing alert, I get a message on my phone and every time I feel anxious about that, but I am really proud to represent my country, to have an opportunity for this flag to be raised and to transfer my message.”
On winning silver:
“I still can't believe it. It's the first medal of my career and I am very happy.”

On the track:

“The track is very different to other tracks. It's like a rollercoaster. But I like it.”

On the atmosphere at Messe München:

“The atmosphere is pretty good and gives me good vibes.”
