On winning bronze |
---|
"I'm very happy with this bronze medal. It's my first individual medal, actually, so I'm happy about that." On being relegated in the semifinals after a crash with Jack Carlin (GBR): "It was a stupid crash, it was my fault. I made an excuse and all is fine (between the two riders). "That happens on a short track, you get very very nervous. I was obviously disappointed not to go all the way. "I thought about other things, not about that gold medal. I'm happy with my progression, and we go on, we go on." |
|
On the three-heat final race: |
“It was very hard because it's a very short effort, but we are trained for it and we're used to recover fast.” On winning his second European title as an elite rider (after the team sprint in 2017): “It's quite special because the first one was very important for personal reasons, but this title comes after five years without a big international medal.” On the French team: “We work hard and we will be ready for the world championship this autumn at home (in Paris).” |
