Things start to happen when I'm feeling free and relaxed. Obviously, my goal was the bg Q - we all hope for this, but I had to come out here with an open-mind, because my preparation was tought. Before coming here, it wasn't easy, but since I competed in Oregon, I had some rest and treatments which made me feel injury-free. This really improved my self-confidence. At the Diamond League in Monaco, I still wasn't at my best - at least if compared to how I felt this morning - but when you feel free, results often come through. Now, I need to think abiut the final, and about the fact that I have 3 more jumps to make it to that final group`. I am going to give it my all, and I hope to do a good jump. In the final, you always need to reset, and start from scratch, because anything could happen. It is not unusual for athletes to have a good qualification, then feel the lack of energy once the finals comes. I need to focus in the recovery process, and ensure I maintain these confidence levels - I want to do the best I can. |
