Event Reports

Bronze 60.68
I really don't know why and how this happened, there must be something about that has driven me throughout my career. It also show that I have not been working all these years for fun. There will be many happy people back home, in the Czech Republic - all of those who follow and support my career, my coach and my partnee who are also here at the stadium supporting me. I don't want to say this is the last championships of my career, I have to think about it. The truth is that the other two girls on the podium are 19-20 years of, and that says a lot. Maybe it's time to give these young girls the stage. Nonetheless, this was indeed a very special evening for me and for the whole of Czech Republic.
Gold 65.81 PB
Ups and downs all through the season. I was waiting for the right moment here at the European championships. I am really excited because after Oregon I told myself "just relax, you can throw a lot of metres, you just have to do this." At my last competition I throw over 60 metres, so I knew I can throw over 63 metres and here at the European championships I did it. Crazy competition for me, the Greek team was here to support me. I want to attack 70 metres for sure, but at the moment, 65 metres is perfect for me now. I am only 19 years old. I still have a lot of years to come.
Silver 62.01
I still can't believe what just happened. I am really really happy, I just couldn't imagine that I would win the medal. All the girls are much older and more experienced than me so I really did not expect to win a medal. I started the competition really badly, threw only 51 m, the second attempt was bad too. Mentally I was not there. Then I spoke with Serbian Head coach and my coach (mum), they motivated me to throw further. With 59 m I got extra three throws. After I threw better than Spotakova I still didn't think that I will win a medal because she is just so much more experienced. I thought she will throw longer in the final attempt. I didn't think that I would be so calm with all the pressure. I am really happy about this medal. I really want to thank my mum (coach) and the Serbian Head coach. They did everything for me and supported me a lot. I still have a couple of competitions left this season such as Zagreb Meeting. I will try to set the new World Junior Record, if not this season, maybe next year. I hope that I will qualify for the Budapest next year too.
