Gold 1:59.04
I think it's more of a mental thing coming into this being my third championships in four and half weeks, so, it's definitely about picking my self up and focus. It is still very tough competition out there, so I made sure I was on the ball - I am just happy I executed well, and managed to come away with a gold medal. [About the rainy weather] You want to come to Manchester in November, it's very cold, and a lot worse than this. Being British I get that a lot. [About having a special treat] Maybe not tonight. I will wait for my next races. After that, I want to go away, and treat myself a little. [About her progress since winning Bronze at U20 in 2019] I just have a great team around me, I think. The training works for me, the people around me are great, and I just believe in myself. Just because I am 20 , it doesn't mean I can't challenge.
Bronze 1:59.87
I am amazingly happy because I was about to retire. I didn't have enough money to compete, I was paying for training camps and all other things by myself. I only have one sponsor - the city of Rzeszow - which I thank a lot for itsr incredible support! The race was really good, I am happy with it. I have changed the coach. My coach now is Jacek Kostrzeba, he changed the training and motivated me a lot. This is my first international major medal. I have proven myself that I am ready for fight and that I can run fast.
Silver 1:59.49
I am so happy to win a silver medal here because the world championships went so bad for me. It was too hard for me in Eugene. I am so excited. I am over the moon because all the hard work paid off. The pace was perfect for me. On the home straight I thought that the gold was not in reach any more, so I really wanted the silver medal and fought for it. At Eugene I caught Covid and the simple secret to recover then was to get rest, not to train. So before the European championships there was a lot of pressure for me, I said to myself that after having shown a bad side of myself at the worlds I really have to do it well here. This medal is wonderful.
