Seasonal Best
Second 50.59 Q
I still feel very proud because of the fourth place in the world. For these championships, I do not have any expectations. Because I have already achieved a lot. I am just having fun here. It sounds strange but I am here just to have fun and I am happy to get into the final. And I am also doing the 200m. I think, physically, it is less tough to maintain the shape throughout the season than mentally. Because we are all more tired now so you can see more athletes crying here, more insecure about themselves. But it is good to be here.
Winner 50.45 Q
I think I do not have a special recipe how to keep the shape for such a long time. I think the most important part for me is that this might be even my last season. I do not know it yet, I would like to continue but you never know with all of the injuries that happened to me and everything around. I cannot be sure about anything. I am just trying to keep especially my mental health on a high possible level. And I am trained by the best sprinting coach in the world so how cannot I be on the same level all the time if I train with him. I struggled a bit after Eugene with various situations so I needed some time to calm down after that. You also need to give your mental health a break. I think it is amazing that the level is so high and it makes me even more proud of myself that I am still in this company becaus it is like a historical season I think.
