I am definitely happy about this medal. After Eugene where I came fifth I got injured. And then I did not have enough time to prepare. I dit not even think about getting a medal. The race was fast and I am very satisfied to be on the podium with bronze. I surprised my self in this race.

I like to try and get myself at the brightest. You know the intention, and then I knew my speed was the best for the last lap. So, I just tried and hold it, and to control the race, then use my supply kit over the last lap - I hoper I could get into that line, it was magnificebt. I was actually very surprised when I saw 4:01, because of that last lap. I am really pleased with running almost sub 4. It is good an bad to have such stron opponents - it's fantastic to see Ciara [Mageen] doing so well. I knew I had to run really well today to beat her. It was a good battle out there, and I am just pleased I could come with a win. After this, I want to enjoy my first holiday aroad for years.

It was absolutely fantastic to go to the line with such a good quality of athletes. You always have to run hard if you're running against Laura Muir. I am too happy to come away with the silver, it's a beautiful night, the Irish flag is rasied. There is not a time when I don't think about the gold, it didn't happen today but I am delighted to taking home the silver. It has been a long journey from Amsterdam to this moment, to be on the podium again. It means a lot as it has been a very rocky journey. I am very happy with this season. Firstly, I have won a silver at Commonwealth Games and then silver at the European Championships.
