Coming to the stadium, somebody told me there was a rainbow but I did not see it. It is super beautiful. I wish I saw it. Honestly, it was a great evening. Considering the situation and circumstances, I cannot complain. It was very special for me today.
I just focused on winning I guess. Sometimes you have to get over the bar first and then you can celebrate and not before.
I take everything step by step and I take whatever comes. You need the things to really go your way to have things to work out the way they should. Sometimes you can get very unlucky with all kinds of things but I am just glad that everything worked out the way as it did tonight.
I think this season, I have experienced all kind of situation and these championships were very special to me. The crowd was very special, it is a special place here. The place where I will go when this is over? Maybe a couple of days in Italy, it is a kind of a fun place. And then I will see, I want to spend the time with the closest ones and we will see.
Silver 5.85
This is my first medal, one should accept and respect that. Even though it was not enough for the gold today. Today`s competition was not so easy, we did not know it the competition was postponed to tomorrow or only some hours delayed. We had to fight the rain. I was able to do the warm-up in dry conditions. I got into the competition quite well. I had 2, 3 fouls. At a championships you really should clear a new height on the first attempt. In this way you can try to be amonst the first positions. I managed to do so, unfortunately I did not manage to do so in Eugene. But I am very satisfied to take at least the silver medal today. Munich is amazing, having championships in your home country is something very special. I will never forget this in my life. Everybody is behind you. This is breath taking. Having Mondo, the best in all times, in this competition is a blessing because when you beat him you are the best of all times. He is a blessing and I am thankful for this. I have not yet planned on how I will celebrate. Let us see, it will rather be with wine than with beer.
Bronze 5.75
It's a good feeling, being like a talent, giant star and making it at this competition. You see a lot of young talented people not making it at the senior level. I am still 21, I feel like a junior on the field out there. This has been a good year. Mondo is a really good friend of mine and it is really fun to watch what he is doing on the field. I am proud to be a part of this field of jumpers. As I was 9th in Eugene, I hope to qualify for Budapest too. Budapest will be my main goal next year but I am taking one day at a time. I did a big step this year but I hope to jump higher in the following season.
