Event Reports

Winner 79.76 Q
This was very simmilar to the qualifcation in Eugene. With the first throw, I played it safe and it calmed me down. Then it was going as planned so I have big hopes for the final. Now, as usually - going to the hotel - with the air conditioning because it was really hot this morning, and I will be ready for the final. Of course, the aim is to win.
Second 77.85 Q
Despite this difficult year, I am shocked that I have this opportunity - it is very good for us that we still can train, due to the war. I ma happy for being here, and we will see how far I can throw tomorrow. In the last twon months, I trained in Ukraine - under the noise of the sirens, which really affects your attention span - and, before that, I was traiing in Antalya, Turkey, because it's too cold to train in Ukraine - especially for throwers, it is not so comfortable to train whe it's training, and under minus degree temperatures. Adjusting to the senior Champs is ok, but with the senior implements it is a bit harder, so I am trying to keep up with the big guys, and to throw over 80 metres. This year, I haven't been able to throw ovcer 80 metres, so between now and the final, I will try to rest some more to be able to improve my overall power.
Winner 77.72 Q
I was very nervous because the qualifications are for me sometimes tougher than the finals. Bit I hit the big Q with the first attempt so I have to be satisfied. It felt OK, the circle is good. I really enjoyed it and I expect huge throws tomorrow. I am not thinking about any medals, any special placement, I am thinking about meters - I want to improve my PB. If it is only enugh for like 5th place, I take it. I think the final will be very hard because when you look at the top 8 from Eugene, the six of them are here. So it will be very interesting.
