This means the World to me. I struggled all year, didn't have a great season, but in the last few weeks I have come a long way. To get a silver at the Commonwealth Games, and to get a bronze here in this world class field - the Europeans are basically the Olympics for Discus Throwers. It was a bit like that today, it's a bit overwhelming to be honest. I mean, I'd love to throw all year round. If I had the opportunity to throw, I'd take it. I couldn't go to European Throwing Cup last Winter due to an injury, so I'm hoping to be able to go next year.

I really enjoyed the competition, the crowd is amazing. I am really happy to win the championships. I am still young, I expect that my journey will be a long one. Kristjan is a very strong athlete, maybe today wasn't his day but next year is going to be even better than this one. The rivarly between us will be tough, as well as the one with other athletes as Daniel. I am happy to have my familly in the stands, as well as the fans.

I am satisfied with this silver medal at my first senior European championships. The best won today. I normally can throw 70m easily but today it was around 68m. It did not work for me. Maybe because of the circle, maybe because of the conditions, I do not know. At my next competition I want to do better. My next competition will be in Zurich. I am not that satisfied with the result. At first Alekna surprised me a little bit but he was better today. A medal is a medal so I will take it. Congrats to Alekna
