This is really a lot of fun. This PB in high jump is really amazing. Never before have I had such a good high jump competition. And then with the 400m I told myself I should try to go strong, too. I am not looking too much at what others will achieve tomorrow but focussing totally on myself. I have also strong events on day two like hurdles and pole vault. I have a lot to offer. I know that I am fast at the 110m hurdles. Today's result is unbelievable! Even better than in Goetzis this year. I have set big goals. I guess I will be able to keep the technical specialists at distance tomorrow. I have to excel in the hurdles and the pole vault.

I am bit scared because I am in such a good rank after day one (laughs). With such a 400m PB, the 400m hurt less. I am very satisfied with this first day. There were minor things, I could have done a bit better in long jump and high jump. You can always do better in a decathlon. But I am only 20 points under my overall PB and 477 point behind Simon Ehammer. I guess both of us delivered what we are capable of, left some points somewhere. Tomorrow it will be important who will commit less mistakes.
