Women's Team

On taking silver:
Alice KINSELLA (GBR) on taking her second silver medal after grabbing silver in the all-around:
"Honestly, this is amazing. I am super proud of the team. We worked so hard for this. We qualified in second and to come away with a silver is such an amazing feeling."

Jessica GADIROVA (GBR) on the key to the silver medal:
"I think it's just doing the same as we did in qualifications or better. We did have a few mistakes, but we picked each other up and carried on."

On whether she felt pressure after Great Britain took bronze at the 2020 Olympic Games:

"I feel like we always just try and start new and we start a clean slate. We just do our job and do the best we can. I think this (medal) makes us more confident (towards Paris 2024). Because there's a new code we can see where we stand and which improvements we need to do to be more prepared and hopefully get more medals in Paris."

Jennifer GADIROVA (GBR) on taking silver after missing last year's European Championships due to injury:
"It's very special to share this with these beautiful girls. I just couldn't ask for any more. I am very proud."

Ondine ACHAMPONG (GBR) on taking silver at her first European Championships:
"It was just amazing to do it with these people as well. They're my favorite people in the world so I couldn't ask for any better.

Georgia-Mae FENTON (GBR) on talking silver just weeks after clinching gold for Team England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games:
"It has been a busy few weeks, but we prepared for it and I think we did a really good job today. Going up just for bars was a little bit stressful, but I did my job and the girls did their job. So again, I am really proud of all of them. Well done guys."
On winning gold
Martina MAGGIO (ITA) on winning gold after narrowly missing out on a medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics:
"This medal means a lot to me. Last year, in Tokyo, we didn't manage to get a medal. Today is amazing and it's very important to us to win this medal."

"We finally realized who we are by winning this. Living these emotions together has been something very unique."

"The atmosphere today gave me goosebumps and anxiety. The competition was so emotional, we laughed and we cried, it was amazing”

Asia D'AMATO (ITA) on clinching her second gold medal after all-around gold:
“This medal is even more special for me than the All-Around because I can share it with my team. We're such a great team and we are so happy we're together winning this gold. It's amazing we're so strong and I'm very proud."

"We are working hard as we really want to get an Olympic medal in Paris (2024). We deserve that and we want to be ready for it. We are hungry for more."

Alice D'AMATO (ITA) on winning gold:
"It was really important for us. Today was a little different (compared to qualifications) because all three exercises counted towards the team result. It was very important to do well and we managed to do it. We are so proud of that."

On her goal for tomorrow's uneven bars final:
“I want gold in that bars final tomorrow. In Italia we say there is no two without a three, so after my two (good) bars routines on Thursday and today tomorrow will be the perfect finish.”

Giorgia VILLA (ITA) on winning gold:
“We still can’t believe that we have this medal around our neck. We are a strong, united team which helped us. After qualification we knew we could achieve gold, but we already knew this before coming to Munich. We grew up together, we are like sisters, there a no words to describe the feeling of achieving this. To me especially after all the setbacks I had in the past years.”
On taking bronze
Kim BUI (GER)
"This is just unbelievable. This is the best for me. This is so crazy, so awesome. It's really unbelievable, I just can't put it into words."

On competing her last team competition, as she will retire after Munich 2022, and receiving a standing ovation after her floor routine:
"I was so focused that I did not realize that this was my last floor routine but I had to give my best. I am happy that everybody in this team respect my decision about retiring from gymnastics."

Elisabeth SEITZ (GER) on the key to the team's success:
"We are an amazing team. We like each other, we nearly love each other. We pushed each other through the whole competition and we just had good vibes. To be honest, I also have no words."

Sarah VOSS (GER) on the feeling after her vault which helped them to take the bronze:
"It was unbelievable. I can't put it into words, it's amazing. Right before my vault I was shaking, I was so nervous. I injured my calf before the European Championships and I wasn't sure if I could ever do the double twisting yurchenko in this competition. It was a last-minute decision from the head coach. He said we had to go all-in. I didn't warm it up in the warm-up hall, but just on the podium. It was kind of nerve wrecking, but I knew I have an amazing team around me that could support me through the whole run into the landing. And I did it. It was the best vault I have ever done."

Pauline SCHAEFER-BETZ (GER) on taking bronze in front of the home crowd:
"I think the support of the home crowd was amazing to see. We had some other competitions without anyone cheering for us, so today was really special. Now we have a bronze medal and I think we can be really proud of that."
On finishing fourth
Sanna VEERMAN (NED):
"We are really proud about our fourth place finish. I don't think we really had any expectations in terms of placing going into the finals. But we all knew we could do better compared to the qualifications (where they finished sixth). That we finished fourth ahead of France and Belgium is just amazing."

Vera VAN POL (NED)
"We are super proud. We started off on beam, which is always a bit tricky. But from then onwards, we really started to grow into the competition. We started to compete better and better. After balance beam I really started to enjoy the competition.

"The spectators were amazing out there. They were all so supportive. It was a bit chaotic at times because of the loud screams during our routines (laughs)."

Naomi VISSER (NED):
"I think this really was the maximum for us today. But if we continue working hard, we could really get onto that podium again in the future."
