Men's Parallel Bars

On taking bronze:
"To finish the competition with a medal, on a high, alongside my teammate Joe (FRASER, 2022 European parallel bars champion) is incredible.

"I went out there, upgraded my routine. I didn't know how it would pan out, but it clearly paid off. I am glad I went for it."

On his decision to sit out the vault final:
"It's been a long few months. Commonwealths, Europeans.. the body is feeling a bit sore. I just didn't feel a 100%. I didn't wanted to run down the vault runway not being able to give it my all while Jake JARMAN (GBR) is feeling fresh.

"It was a perfect opportunity (for him) and I knew if he landed vaults he could get a medal. I rather wanted to have that medal come back to GB, so I decided to step out."

On what's next:
"I'm going to Tenerife, to have a nice little break to relax the body. It's been an intense few months, it's been full-on without having any breaks. It's nice to actually have a break away from the gym. Not just for the body, but also for the mind. When we get back we focus on Worlds."

On taking silver:
"I'm happy, because this is my first senior medal in parallel bars."

"Of course it would have been better to finish the event with two or more medals. But one medal is great. I am happy to go back home with this medal."

"I will now work hard for the World Championships and will try and show much better results there."
On winning gold, Britain's first-ever European gold on the apparatus:
"I am truly honored. I loved being out there. Parallel bars is something I do enjoy to compete. It's very nerve wrecking because I've got this parallel bars reputation all of a sudden (he is the 2019 world champion).

"I knew it (his routine) was better than I've done the previous two days of competition. So I was happy about that, I left it out there.

"Again, the only thing I was thinking about (afterwards) is that I didn't stick the dismount. Other than that I was really happy. It was the best I could do."

"I really enjoyed being out there with Giarnni (REGINI-MORAN, the bronze medallist). We've come through the British system together, as we have the similar age.

"To actually perform together at that European stage and both win a medal, I think we can't be more proud."

On winning three golds at Munich 2022 after breaking his foot just four weeks ago:
"I am so proud of myself, my coach, the doctors, the physios that helped me perform at this level. It's very difficult at the best of times. But to do it given the situations I overcame over the last two months, I'm just really happy.

"I am ready for a holiday, just to put my feet up for a little bit before the grind starts towards the World Championships."

"I'm going to Croatia, which I'm very excited about."

On which gold medal he sees as is favorite:
"It's too hard honestly. I am so proud of each of them for different reasons.

"The team one really holds weight in my heart because you get to share a moment with your friends and family that you see as brothers.

"The all-around is something I always loved to compete. It's my favorite thing to do. I think the all-around competitions are always great to watch. Winning that is actually unbelievable."
